Overview

From the hotel we drive to the airport to view Cuban and American monuments, relics of Grenada's 1983 Revolution and the US invasion. Heading up to historic Fort Frederick we will learn about Maurice Bishop and the Notorious 17, and the part that the US led intervention played in getting the country back to democracy after the island brief stint at socialism.

 Mt Weldale, Mr Royal an the parliament building, all command views of picturesque St George's and the two forts which were key location during the turbulent time of the revolution. We will learn the significance of Otway house which is located on the Carenage- a natural deep water harbor formed from  an extinct volcano St. George's is known as the Portofino of the Caribbean .

 Leaving the hustle and bustle of beautiful St. George's, we head to Grand Anse and the relative quite of Quarantine Point-a good spot to enjoy the views of this islands the mountains and beaches. Return to the hotel with a greater knowledge of the tumultuous history of such a small nation.

  • Cancellation or Change Due to other Conditions

    If we cancel any trip due to weather, mechanical failure, or unsafe conditions, a full refund will be provided. If a tour departs, but is modified or shortened due to weather conditions, refunds will not be provided.

  • Participant Responsibilities

    All participants will be required to follow safety policies and procedures as well as instructions from guides during activities. All guests must meet minimum age requirements at the time of participation. Each participant is required to sign a Participant Assumption of Risks, Acknowledgment of Inherent Risks and Indemnity Agreement prior to participation.

  • 2 Person Minimum Capacity Requirements

    Our tours require a 2 person minimum for the trip to operate. We reserve the right to cancel any departure if we have not reached our minimum capacity requirements. We will do all we can to reschedule guests reserved on any departure with insufficient reservations. If we are unable to reschedule your tour, a full refund will be provided.
